She's got a gun Jack: Well yeah, she's got a gun but... Jeremy: You guys pick! James: Let's do all Mercy, then you create a power chain of constantly healing constantly shooting Bruce: Nobody will die Jeremy: I guarantee I'll never switch to the healing thing James: Alright, but you have to pick Mercy Michael: Gavin left Jack: Gavin why'd you leave? Bruce: They're arguing https://online-texas-hold-em.net/top-10-misconceptions-of-starting-an-esports-center/?
James: Guys, this is what happens to us, don't let it happen to you Geoff: Alright, All Mercy Jack: Good luck guys! Michael: This is the final showdown Adam: For all the marbles Bruce: Everything James: Triple or nothing James: You guys hear that? All Mercy. Adam: Kill them. Adam: Real intense call there, Jimmy. James: Yeah, I'm not sure what call you're referring to, are you referring to the call that they're going to go "All Mercy" for this next match? Adam: I just meant that they called each other on skype and were talking James: Oh the phone call itself Adam: I could feel the tension in the room James: Yeah, absolutely Adam: Jack, not sure what mouse he used, I'm sure he's switching out James: You know, speaking of Jack, it appears they're going "All Mercy" for this next round Adam: And we know Jack is a professional in the AH office, which really means nothing James: Yeah, it's probably going to work against him in this case, I just hope he knows how to use that gun, because it's going to be a slaughter James: And away we go the very last match here, it looks like it's going to be an even playing field, both teams will be going as Mercy Adam: Now Mercy is a character that /does/ have a gun, not a lot of people know that James.
Not a lot of people know she can boost the other team James: Now right out the gate here it looks like AH is getting slaughtered, now they're reluctant to use the pistol for some reason Adam: It's a strange maneuver, but we can really just kinda find out why- they're all dead. James: They're all dead. James: A lot of beautiful angel wings down on the ground, glistening, glowing, just like Michael's spirit it looks like we've come to an end for AH Adam: You can almost see the soul being relieved from AH on this dark, dreary day Adam: Just Funhaus, two team kills James: Just brutal Adam: James, walk us through what "Team Kill" means James: "Team Kill" basically means that one team has wiped the enemy team of all of the living players, there's not a single player left to stand against you on the other team Adam: Jack, clearly the best Mercy on the team, going for the point Adam: And then Funhaus here, just, completely bored out of their minds James: Jack actually pioneered the "Assassin Mercy" strategy Adam: Oh, wow! That was him?! James: Yeah, it's a strategy of Mercy where you do actually use your pistol, and not a lot of AH knows that Adam: We're getting early word here, they should be able to get at least one kill, out of this match here Adam: From AH, they should be able to easily take one person out, and there's the Res and unfortunately that will do them no good James: Yeah, this is a purely defensive strategy here, it appears as though, oh, no they've started firing their gun James.
So let's see how long AH can stand against it - we got some Res' built up here so it's going down James: AH with the huge Res, Jack is back, he himself initiates a res and he is down Adam: A natural born leader gone from the battlefield James: They are done for, and now Funhaus, playing Ring-Around-The-Rosy here in the center how long can they last? Adam: Ten seconds, ten seconds left here, they are just having a good time James: Geoff in the center having fun, it's unclear if the competitive spirit is still a part of this match anymore Adam: I believe it is a gentleman's agreement to just have a good time, even though AH broke the sanctity of that James: Now, notice on the right, Gavin is hiding off to the side, I think he has something planned, is he trying to go for a 5-player Res play of the game? Adam: I think so. James: Or is he just not sure what his gun does? Because he's just firing it off wherever Adam: Well, if you see here James, James: Oh, they found him and that would be the end of it, we don't need to check that footage, he is dead Adam: The teams are now switching sides and like we said it's anyone's game, but we are still doing all Mercys James: At this point I'm not sure if that's true.
Adam: it's not, I just keep saying it James: I think Funhaus is going to take this pretty handedly Adam: Spoiler, once again, AH just gets fucking ruined James.
When presented with this ultimatum they'll either realise that the good in the relationship over ways the bad and that we're obligated to accept the flaws and others and in ourselves in order to respect each other and find balance or they realise that their partner is a worthless piece of shit and is undeserving of their love and if you're wondering What some of those red flags are that tell you to probably get the hell out let me give you a little boost (point 1) they shoot down your self-esteem and make you seem like you're not good enough for the world and assures you that they're doing you a favor by being with you, and I you should be lucky to have them basically they force you to be dependent on them but make you feel worthless for doing so. (Point 2) They are possessive and deny your freedom to see your friends or talk to people in general. A lack of trust. But if their lack of trust is backed up by your history of being an unfaithful piece of shit then okay, you probably deserve it. (Point 3) They treat you differently between public and private situations. This applies to social media as well (Point 4) They pressure you sexually when you've made it clear the you're not ready and feel uncomfortable Casinoslots New Zealand.
Fuck you Steve (Point 5) They find every reason to argue with you not to solve an issue. But for the sake of being right and to feel above you (Point 6) They dig up the past to use as ammunition in those arguments when you two have already moved on from those disputes (Point 7) They are stubborn and incapable of feeling remorse even when they are proven to be at fault (Point 8) They always aim to victimise themselves, so that you feel sorry for them and excuse their faults (Point 9) They are overly protective of their phones and conversations with other people They're secretive about things they act suspicious without reassuring you of their loyalty or they're probably planning you a surprise party (Point 10) Their words are inconsistent with their actions. (Point 11) They support trump (Point 12) They are unsupported of your dreams and ambitions and discourage you from pursuing them.
(Point 13) The relationship feels too one-sided and unbalanced one of you is trying much harder than the other. But while not all relationships can achieve a perfect balance Surely you can tell when someone is lacking effort And the list goes on, there are dozens of other reasons that I can't possibly cover. Sad friend: Oh my God Dom! My boyfriend stood me up last minute to hang out with his friends again for the tenth time this week Dom: Hmm Dom: Maybe you should break up with him Sad friend: Oh my God dom my boyfriend keeps talking about other girls and comparing me to them Dom: hmm Dom: Maybe you should break up with him. Sad friend: (sniff) OH (sniff) MY GOD DOM (sniff) Sad friend: I walked in on two girls and an old bald man on top of my boyfriend on our four-year anniversary (starts to cry) Dom: Wow, amazing. It was almost as if there were no signs that foreshadowed this you dumb bitch Intro music (yay!)
Dom: BREAK UPS AND WHY THEY AREN'T ALWAYS A BAD THING Yeah, yeah, I know valentine's day wasn't too long ago, and many people celebrated their love for one another and their partners But I feel like we got to give some attention to the not so healthy relationships And I'mma bet that a lot of you watching are probably in one. YEAH! That's right! I'll be inducing some breakups! Let's go!
(claps self) Random commenter: Oh my God, Dom that's so heartless. Just because you've been through some bad breakups doesn't mean other should too. Dom: So you're saying that even though. They're in a bad relationship Were either or both of them don't feel any form of fulfillment or growth with their partner They should stay together for the sake of preserving a toxic relationship and avoiding a breakup Just because it's a sad thing to happen Funny story someone actually contacted me one time is tell me that his girlfriend broke up with him after watching one of my videos And I just thought oh, that's pretty unfortunate. Sorry dude but if she was so influenced by my stories to reflect on her own relationship And make a judgement based on that reflection then either she came to some sort of realization that you guys probably aren't compatible or she failed to interpret my content as rhetorical and jump to a conclusion Without properly discussing it with you. To which I say good riddance my dude.
You deserve better. I'm sure most of you I'm sure most of you have a friend or know someone who's just honestly in a shit show of a relationship I commonly [see] this problem with my girl friends, friends whom are girls But guys also get their fair share of the abuse I empathize with them And I want to help because I've been in some pretty bad relationships, but I probably should have broken off sooner But since I was too stubborn to let it end early I wanted to keep giving second chances that weren't necessarily deserved when my friends talk to me for advice I try to see both sides of the story even [if] I don't have direct access to it I may try to give the other party the benefit of the doubt or try to come up with evidence of their benevolence Also Dom: Oh shit that was fire. I should write that down. Original Dom: because the friend is sometimes so clouded with emotion that they can't think rationally but sometimes those friends don't necessarily come to you for actual advice and are so fixated on their point of view on the relationship that they just need someone to spill their thoughts to but there comes a point where the rants just get ridiculous And you wonder why even stay with them?
Why is this person worth fighting for? Why not just break up? End the source of your misery.
It seems like such an easy option, right? But I can understand why it can be so difficult to go through. I think deep down Those friends constantly asking for advice want to hear that option from a third party. Dom to friend: Why don't you just break up? I think they need to hear that question because it's at that point that they realize there's only two options for them to choose from stay together or don't.
It has long been thought, though, that the remnants of his original work still lie hidden within the walls of the building and, in 2012, a team using forensic techniques found evidence that it does, indeed, still exist on an inner structure beneath a fresco by Vasari. Due to disagreements about whether the original should be uncovered, or not, no further work has been done to find it. It still remains a mystery- is the image truly still there, or has it worn away so much that it’s unrecognisable? 4.
The Biggest Heist in History I’m sure you, like me, love a good heist story, but the truth behind the biggest heist ever carried out is still to be uncovered. For those of you who guessed, it took place in 1990 at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. Security guards opened the doors to two policemen who were responding to a disturbance but, to their surprise, the cops handcuffed them!
Too late, they realized they were art thieves. Over the following minutes, the intruders stole 13 different artworks by the likes of Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Degas- with a total value of more than half a billion dollars at today’s prices. No trace of the artworks, or the thieves, has ever been found- despite there being a ten million dollar reward for any information. If you know anything, speak now!!
The FBI says some of the artworks were being offered for sale in the 2000’s in Philadelphia, and they’ve searched as far as Ireland for clues. It’s a high likelihood that the paintings are in the hands of criminals who use them as currency, since valuable artefacts like this are seen as easier to secure and transport than cold, hard, cash. They are now lost somewhere in the black market.
3. The Identity of Banksy Art goes hand in hand with the ideas of pushing the limits and exploring new ideas, and Banksy definitely lives up to this to this. He first came onto the scene in 1990, as a freehand graffiti artist in Bristol, in the UK, but since then he’s moved on to stencilled works, and is renowned for his humour, satire, and anti-establishment ethos. He’s held large exhibitions around the world, and even opened a theme park called Dismaland. Despite his high profile, he still keeps to his roots and reveals stencilled graffiti works worldwide. So what’s the big mystery??
His identity! No one knows who he is! Quite a few people have been suggested as Banksy- ranging from Robert Del Naja, the frontman of Massive Attack, Jamie Hewlett, the artist for Tank Girl and the Gorillaz, or even that Banksy isn’t just one person, but a team of at least 7. For now, no one can be sure- but someday all will be revealed, and it’ll be one of the biggest revelations of the modern art-world that there’s ever been. 2. The Original Mona Lisa Leonardo’s Mona Lisa is, without doubt, the most recognisable portrait that’s ever been made.
It’s housed in the Louvre museum in Paris and is much smaller in person than you’d expect. There’s questions about who the person depicted in the painting is, but more curious is whether the one on display is even a likeness of a real person in the first place. Reflective light scans of the image have found something quite interesting- that the canvas actually contains 3 different paintings!! It was not unusual for artists to reuse canvas to perfect their techniques, and new technologies allow researchers to see beneath the layers of paint. There’s further evidence that Da Vinci scratched out and edited each work, and used their features to incorporate them into the new versions he painted on top. While the original image on the canvas could well be Lisa Gherardini, who most suggest was the model for the famous painting, the final version looks very different, so could be an amalgamation of his original model, and alterations he decided to make.
Again, we’ll probably never know the full story behind the Mona Lisa- something that only goes to make the image all the more enticing and intriguing. 1. The Object in “David’s” Hand Michelangelo’s “David” is the most recognisable sculpture in the world and, beyond controversies in some places about the unashamed nakedness of the piece, there’s a mystery surrounding it, and how complete it actually is. In particular the hand.
It’s overly large in comparison with the rest of his body, and bulging with veins. For this to be present in a work by a master of the craft, it makes sense that this is done for a reason. That reason, some suggest, is because the hand should be holding a deadly weapon. “David” is the one from the story of David and Goliath, and the theory goes that this hand should be holding the sling that he used to fell the giant.
The statue already has the pouch of the sling in his left hand, above the shoulder, and the straps go all the way round to near his right hand. Is this where he should be holding the handle? Others suggest it could simply be a stone he was holding, and it’s not entirely clear why it’s no longer there. Either way, it seems as if the David is incomplete, and will be a continuing mystery forever.

You need to have an empty slot for it - in my case, I had to dismantle the previous upgrade to make room. The stats are randomised when you install it - in this case I boosted my Fauna reward by 8487% and my Flora reward by 7913%. That second one is a real money maker - 20k credits for every new plant I find. Now it’s a case of heading to the planet, bringing up the visor with F and raking in the credits. If you’re a jerk like me you can commemorate the moment by giving your finds obnoxious names, like Iain M Banks (The M Is For ‘Making’) and This Guy Made Me Rich.
Please share your own terrible names in the comments below, and enjoy having a bit more cash to play with. One quick side note: installed upgrades can’t be moved between tools, so some people will tell you to wait for a Multi-Tool with more slots, but these are harder to come by or afford early on. For the early money boost, installing a money-making upgrade in your original multi-tool makes total sense Oncasinogames royal panda.
Now that you are getting rich, it’s time to travel in style. To get a new ship without spending loads of money is a little complicated, but worth the hassle. For starters you need to discover a distress beacon, which reveals the location of crashed ships. There are two ways to do this: one is to find a transmission tower like this and interact with the number puzzle inside - you just have to finish the sequence with the right number. If you are struggling to find a Transmission Tower, you can use Navigational Data with the Signal Booster to search for a distress beacon.
In case you’ve forgotten you build and place the signal booster with the build menu, mapped to Z on PC. As for navigational data, this can be easily extracted from Encrypted Navigation Data cubes that you randomly find on tables in Space Stations. Keep an eye for them. Once you’ve got a distress beacon, fly over to it to find a crashed ship. These can be claimed for free, but come with damaged inventories that take loads of crafting and resources to fix. Things like radiation leaks, hull fractures and damaged gears add up to costly and time-consuming work.
What I like to do is just fix the launch thruster and pulse engine - these are the only two things that need to work to actually make the hunk of junk fly. You then fly the ship to a Space Station and wait for other ships to turn up. Interact with these ships and you can select the option to ‘Make an offer on the lifeform’s spaceship’.
If your ship is of an equal or greater value, you simply swap it for free - all your damaged parts don’t factor into the deal. It’s a great way to get a fully working ship without paying a single credit. Just make sure to transfer across any equipment you want to keep before the deal goes through. There is an art to picking the right ship - they are procedurally generated, so don’t just swap with the first one that arrives, more will be along soon. At this early stage in the game, look out for ships with better engines - if it has a Cadmium or Emeril drive it will be able to jump to systems that aren’t available to regular warp drives. This is a great opportunity to scoop a bargain, so make good use of it.
This next tip is all about turning something traumatising to your advantage. Have you come across whispering eggs yet? You’ll find them clustered around Abandoned Buildings which are found randomly on the map - the best way to sniff one out is to fly close to the ground, hitting the scan button to reveal nearby buildings. Follow the marker and eventually you’ll find a building with these weird eggs outside. Destroying a whispering egg creates a Larval Core, but also triggers a wave of Biological Horrors - these nightmare beasts with chattering teeth that will quickly overpower you.
Larval cores are worth just shy of one hundred thousand credits, so are great to farm. I like to fly onto the building and shoot the eggs from up here, as it makes it easy to see where the Larval Core rolls to. These will vanish in a few seconds, so you need to quickly drop down, grab the core and then fly back up to the roof where the monsters can’t eat you. Don’t bother wasting ammo on the nightmare beasts as they will naturally burrow back into the ground if you leave them alone.
Just wait for the swarm subsiding message. Then you are free to shoot another egg and repeat the process. With your pockets full of gooey alien horrors, sell them at a trading post or space station. Just don’t ask what the buyer is using them for.
Ignorance is bliss, my friend. One of the coolest additions to the Next update is the ability to assemble and deploy a fleet of frigates on a side mission. Being in command of a fleet of vessels is like being in your very own version of Battlestar Galactica, although you know deep down you will never be as cool as Edward James Olmos. Before assembling your fleet you need a freighter to act as the central base - and you can get one for free. Once you’ve learned to warp jump - which you do as part of the central storyline - you need to start exploring new systems. After a number of jumps - for me it was three - you’ll see a battle detected message appear on screen.
Look for the nearby Freighter under attack and fly to its rescue. There will only be a couple of small enemy ships - if someone as cack-handed as myself can shoot them down, I’m sure you’ll have no problems. When you shoot them all down, the captain will reach out over emergency comms - you can respond with the in-ship communicator on the pop-up menu, in case you’ve forgotten how to use it.
He’ll invite you onboard, so just fly to the big glowing front door and let the docking animation do the rest. Find the captain on board and he’ll hand over the Freighter for free, letting you build your fleet. Do make sure to start playing with the Frigate system as you can make huge money on the side for basically doing nothing. For a space pioneer, I am very lazy. Within minutes of playing you’ll be filling your pockets with more space gubbins than you know what to do with. Unless you want to go mad from seeing the Full inventory message you need to grow your exosuit.
The fiddly way is to find drop pods - you can use the signal booster for this. These broken pods need a few crafted ingredients to unlock the upgrade, but once you do it, the upgrade is free. Which is nice.
The quicker way to get upgrades - and one that is very easy to miss - is to buy them on board Space Ships. You’ll find the upgrade for sale behind the technology merchant on the far left. I’m kind of embarrassed that I missed this - I thought it was just colourful shop decoration for the first few hours of the game. You can only buy one per space ship, but it’s worth doing in every system you visit.
When you buy it, it will naturally try to install the upgrade in your General exosuit, but I like to click on Cargo - that’s the icon on the right of the screen - and install it here. The slots in the Cargo section behave the same way as inventory slots on the ship - they hold twice as much. Now you can store lots more common ingredients in these Exosuit High Capacity inventory slots. If you’re really lazy like me, you can use this visit to the ship to buy those resources so you don’t have to melt endless rocks down below. Last but not least, as soon as you have built the Blueprint Analyser - along the central questline - use it to learn how to build Save Points. Because then you can carry a portable save point.
The most important thing after placing it, is to pick it up - the default input on PC is clicking mouse three. The same goes for any portable tech, like the Signal Booster or the refiner - instead of building them when you need them, build one and pick it up. Yes, they take up an inventory space, but having them ready to drop whenever is always useful. A short but hopefully sweet tip. And those are the key bits of wisdom that have been getting me through the early hours of the game - different people want different things from No Man’s Sky, but for my money-slash-space-credits, the exploration and progression is so much more engaging when you can get cut around some the earlier chores. Hopefully these tips have helped you speed towards some better tech and a smoother adventure.
Title: 豚と軍艦 (Buta to Gunkan)
English Title: Pigs and Battleships
Directed By: Imamura Shohei
Starring: Yoshimura Jitsuko, Minamida Yoko
Imamura Shohei’s Pigs and Battleships is the story of a mutual beneficial relationship between the United States Navy and small time Japanese gangsters. “Beneficial” however, can only be used in the sense that both sides benefit only insofar as they are able to take the other for all that they are worth. The time is immediately after the war, during the American occupation of Japan, the place is the city, turned Navy base of Yokosuka, in Kanagawa. Many women take the best “job” they think is available – prostitution – and small time gangsters, resort to stealing all that they can from the overflowing pockets of the Americans. In Kinta and his gang’s case, this means stealing scrap metal from the Navy base, which they then use on their pig farm.
The ironic, dark humor that comprises the main elements of the film, are interspersed with elements of zany, comedic wit, which lend the film an overall feeling of lightheartedness. Although Kinta is the closest to their gang leader, Tetsu, his clumsiness and slow wits, lead him to become the target of abuse from his fellow gang members. As Tetsu’s health slowly fails, other gangsters, especially Hoshino, vie for his position, and slowly push Kinta out, making him the fall man for one of the boss’s recent murders.
Kinta’s saving grace, apart from his somewhat misguided, but good intent, is his girlfriend Haruko. Despite Haruko’s sister who, like all the other good girls, has gotten herself a big, burly American soldier, and her mother, who is constantly nagging her to do likewise, Haruko remains determined to stay with Kinta. She is not without her American suitors though and one, Gordon, is even willing to pay her family somewhere around $400 a month, to make her his wife. “Come on, marry him,” her mother says, “and then be faithful and obedient. Japanese women are famous around the world for that,” her sister chimes in.
One of the most satisfying parts of Pigs and Battleships is its bitter, sarcastic criticism of both Japan and the United States. Although the Americans don’t hesitate to flaunt their dominant position, the alternative, as offered to the only real hero of the story, Haruko, is hardly better. Few of the gangsters in Kinta’s gang care about anything other than quick and easy money, and are willing to stop at little to get it.
By the time Kinta realizes it, it is already too late – the gangsters are trampled by their own money making scheme, the pigs. The hubris of greed in response to the tantalizing offer of money that the Americans bring proves their very downfall. Like the heroine she is, however, Haruko doesn’t give up, even after all has been lost and, as the movie closes, we follow her, walking against a screaming, wailing crowd of Japanese women, waiting to greet a new wave of American soldiers coming to land.
Here we sense another of the ironies that Imamura presents for us – although the Americans bring the prospect of the ideal of equality between the sexes, their very actions would seem to prove otherwise. On the other hand, this so called “American” ideal is found in truer form in Haruko. Nothing emphasizes this more than the last scene, as she, walking against the crowd, wipes the makeup from her face and lips, and heads for the train station, leaving the whole mess behind in search of her own ideals and freedom.
Title: パプリカ (Papurika)
English Title: Paprika
Directed by: Kon Satoshi
Animated by: Madhouse
Paprika is, in simple terms, a film about dreams, and about crossing borders. Not only is the border between dream and reality crossed so many times that one begins to forget entirely that the dichotomy ever even existed, but the border between film and audience is also crossed at multiple points. In fact, homage to cinema as an artistic medium runs throughout the film, be it in scenes taking place in a movie theatre, or as memory and dream unfolding as a film sequence. One of the main characters, Konagawa, even explains this concept in plain terms and, as he draws a line between camera and viewer, the screen is physically rotated, indicating the metaphor of the screen / audience boundary being crossed, or done away with.
The boundary between dreams and reality as well, starts as being somewhat well defined in the beginning of the film, but is totally deconstructed later, as an entire, collective dream, spills out into reality and marches through the streets. The dreamy, otherworldly atmosphere of the film is supported further by a pounding, driving rhythm, high floating synthesizers, and celestial chorus comprising the soundtrack, and buoyed by such vague but catchy dialogue as when one character exclaims “Isn’t it wonderful, seeing a friend’s dream as your own! Experiencing the same dream together.” This atmosphere continuous to the very end and a level of almost comical uncertainty can be felt in the conversation of two other main characters when one asks: “Is this reality?” to which the other can only respond with a resolute “Maybe…”
I write my essay about the dichotomy between childhood and adulthood that is present within each individual. A child trapped in an adult’s body, a grown man unable to reconnect with his own youth – such are the backgrounds of the characters we encounter. As Paprika essentially strives to be a film working toward deconstruction of various boundaries, it does not neglect this important boundary as well. However, while those between dream and reality, film and audience, are sometimes crossed with an abrupt, fantastic, jolt, the boundary between one’s childhood and adulthood is only breached slightly, and in small ways that allow the characters to reconnect with whatever part of their past or present has been neglected.
In all these crossings or deconstructions, the main purpose is to deliver the viewer to a sense of equilibrium. Much criticism of the film has tended to center around a plot which is seemingly difficult to piece together, or elements which are left partially or fully unexplained. Arriving at this conclusion however, only means that one has misunderstood the intent of the film. If one attempts to maintain the traditional relationship of the audience as having power over the film, and thus tries to pick apart and analyze to, in a word, “figure out the film,” as it were, they will be left unsatisfied and confused. This is because Paprika asks the audience to let go of their supposed power and take a submissive role. The role of the viewer as analyst and the movie as patient is switched – the one being analyzed is the viewer himself.
